How we use your details

Before the diary opens, Concertmaster collects personal information in three places: the form to hear when the diary opens, the form for presenters who want their concerts listed, and the contact form. This page explains what happens to it, and what we record when you visit.

What we collect

If you sign up to hear when the diary opens: your email address, and when you signed up and confirmed it.

If you ask to list your concerts: your name and email address, your organisation, where it publishes its dates, and anything you add in the note.

If you contact us: your name, email address and message.

When you visit: how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed, which links are clicked and whether a form was sent. We record this without cookies and don't tie it to your name or email address.

We don't ask for anything else.

What we use it for

Sign-ups: to send you one email to confirm your address, and one when the diary opens. We won't add you to anything else without asking you first.

Presenters: to reply to you about your listing and to read your concert dates from where you publish them. We only contact you about your listing.

Messages: to reply to you. We don't add you to any list because you wrote to us.

Visits: product analytics, to see which pages help people and where forms go wrong. We don't use them for advertising or to follow you across other sites.

We don't sell your details. Three services handle them for us:

  • Resend sends our email.
  • PostHog, in its EU region, runs the support desk where presenter requests and messages arrive, and gives us product analytics: how people use the site, recorded without cookies.
  • Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the sign-up list, and its Turnstile check makes sure each form is sent by a person, not a bot.

How long we keep it

Sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address. If you never confirm it, we delete it after 30 days.

Presenters: for as long as we list your concerts, or until you ask us to remove your details. If we don't end up listing you, we delete them after 12 months.

Messages: for 12 months after we've dealt with your message, then we delete them.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email privacy@concertmaster.co.za and we'll reply within 30 days.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator.
